Common Questions and Answers

How early can my student sign up?

Students can sign up for class and driving as soon as they have received their permit from the DMV.  They will need 20 hours of driving with a parent or guardian before they can participate in drives on the road.

can my student sign up if they are no longer in school?

Students can complete Driver Ed with Polaris High School until September 30th following their senior year of High School at Polaris.  They MUST have all five parts of the program COMPLETED on that date.  Please sign up early if you or your student is in this situation.  We are often booked out several months.

How long does it take to get through the program?

Students take an average of 3 months to finish all of the licensing requirements with Polaris High.  However, completion time is determined by student dedication and instructor availability.  We are often booked out 3-4 months on our drives.  Please plan to sign up earlier rather than later if you have a specific licensing deadline you need to meet.

What if I don't Pass the Driving Test?

A student can take the test with us once.  All other testing attempts must be done at the DMV.
