Charter/Private/Homeschool Students

Online Classroom

Our online course is open to students who live within the Alpine School District Boundaries and attend Polaris High School, Summit High School, charter schools, private schools, or homeschooling programs. This course is required for Driver Ed completion for any students attending a Driver Ed course at any Alpine School District school that does not attend that school (charter/private/homeschool students).  The cost of this course is included in the cost of the Driver Ed program at any school.  Proof of payment is required if you choose to pay at another Alpine School District High School. The online course must be completed before scheduling drives with Polaris.

Range and Road

Our driving course is open to students who attend charter/private/home schools.  Students will complete the online course with Polaris and the Driving course with Polaris or your boundary school.  Contact information for the Driver Ed departments at other public High Schools can be found at the "Boundary School Contact Info."

Completing all driver ed requirements takes an average of 3-4 months.

Payment: Payment made to Polaris High or any other Alpine School District Public High School will count for both the online and driving course.  However, payment should be made to the school you complete Range/Road with and the receipt sent to Polaris High if you are not driving with Polaris. (For example, pay at Westlake High for the driving course and show payment proof to Polaris to sign up for the online course).  The total cost of the program is $200 (These prices can no longer be split).

Getting Signed up

Students can sign up for the Driver Ed program as soon as they have a permit.  To sign-up, please complete the form on the sign-up page (link below).  The completed form will be delivered to Angela Hill at Polaris, who you will then contact with payment info.  Students MUST take an approved Driver Education class before they can complete driving education requirements at Polaris.  Please contact David Belliston (tdbelliston@alpinedistrict.org) if you have questions about approved courses outside of Polaris' own online course.  Click on the following button for further information.
