Week 36 Self-Start:
Log in to Typing Club and start the Typing test on your dashboard.
Remember...it's not about speed or how much you type. It's about if you can
TYPE BY TOUCH!
After the test, please go back to CS First and keep working on your Art Unit projects.
Week 34 & 35: Coding- Art Unit

Today I will...use my coding skills
so I can...create a fun projects using famous works of art and art mediums
I know I have it when...I follow the CS First video tutorials to code the skills for each project.
Scroll up to the Quick Links and click on "CS First." On your dashboard, go down to the "Art" lesson link and click on it. SKIP THE FIRST 2 PARTS AND GO TO THE VIDEO ON #2 and click the STARTER PROJECT link on the right to open Scratch.
This project has custom sprites, so DON'T DELETE them!
Week 33: Google Slides Day 1- Stop Motion: The Red Ball

Week 27 & 28: Coding- Jumping Game

Today I will...code how to make a sprite jump
so I can...create a jumping game
I know I have it when...I follow the directions in the Scratch cards that makes an obstacle move across the screen toward the player sprite again and again and the sprite is able to jump over it when a key is pressed.

so I can...be an upstander for others and for myself online.
I know I have it when...I can explain what to do in a cyberbullying situation, especially the solution to tell a trusted adult.
Week 25: Makey Makeys

Today I will...learn what conductors are
so I can...use a Makey Makey successfully to extend my keyboard while using a computer program
I know I have it when...I make sure I am grounded to complete my circuit and when I can play the games successfully by pushing the buttons I hook up to the Makey Makey.
Week 24: Keyboarding Olympics!!

Today I will...participate in a typing challenge
so I can...see how well I touch type while my hands are covered.
I know I have it when...I can look at the screen more than my hands and type the challenges quickly and accurately.

Week 22 & 23: Shape Art in CS First Scratch
Go over today's lesson intention!
Today I will...use the pen tool in CS First Scratch
so I can...make shape art.
I know I have it when...the pen tool draws a simple shape, then rotates and repeats to make a fun pattern.

Week 15: Thanksgiving Fun!
Today I will...use copy and paste to build a turkey
so I can...be ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!
I know I have it when...I use the right-click or keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste different parts from the template onto my turkey.

so I can....remember how to have a safe, responsible and respectful digital footprint
I know I have it when... I can retell what should and should not be shared, how the internet stores my activity, and how to protect my digital footprint.

Week 12 & 13: CS First coding- Adventure on the High Seas

Today I will...animate an ocean wave
so I can...tell a story about an adventure on the high seas.
I know I have it when...I can follow the basic instructions of the CS First lesson and try at least 2 add-ons.
Click on your assignment called "Adventure on the High seas" and we'll watch the first part together.
Use the CS First Tutorial to complete you assignment PLUS at least 2 add-ons. Be sure to create your own story between the sprites. See an example below:

Week 10 & 11: Google Drawings Halloween

Today I will...use a Google Drawings tutorial
so I can...make a Frankenstein image for Halloween
I know I have it when...I can work with 2 windows side-by-side and my monster looks like the one in the tutorial.

Week 9: Internet Safety- You Won't Believe This!
Today I will learn about "clickbait"
so I can avoid unsafe websites on the internet
I know I have it when I can explain what the "curiosity gap" is and how clickbait uses it to get people's attention.
