Week 7: Keyboard Challenge

Go over today's lesson intention!

Today I will...put a digital keyboard together

so I can...recognize letters faster when I type

I know I have it when...I drag the correct letters to the correct places on the digital keyboard.

Play Keyboard Challenge 2 times:

Time #1: Do "Numbers & Letters Only"

Time #2: Do "All Keys" 

The game keyboard and the lab keyboards have some differences, so use the tips below to help:

Week 6: Intro to Touch Typing

Go over today's lesson intention!

Today I will learn about Home Row

so I can have proper typing technique.

I know I have it when I put my hands on Home Row to start typing and remember that home row keys are where my fingers start and come back to between being used.

We're going to watch this video and discuss why it's important to use certain fingers to type specific letters.

Head back to Typing Club for the rest of class.  Keep your eyes on the screen and make sure your hands are in the same position as the hands on screen.

Week 3: Intro to Typing Club

Go over today's lesson intention!

Today I will learn how to log into Typing Club

so I can do self-starts in computer class.

I know I have it when I click on the "Typing Club" quick link above and type in my username (without a password) to log in.



Click on Typing Club in the Quick Links and type your username in the box.  

No password!

Week 2: Logging in & out

Go over today's lesson intention!

Today I will  learn how to log in

so I can get into the computer by myself.

I know I have it when I make sure there are no spaces or capital letters before typing the school username in the top box and the school password in the bottom box.

Log in, then head to the Free Choice Board to check out the games we can play during free time!
