Message from the Principal:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we are excited to share that there are only 30 student days remaining before the end of the school year. It's incredible how quickly the time has flown by, and we are proud of all the hard work and dedication our students have shown throughout the year.
Important Dates to Remember:
May 18th - Booster Club Steak Dinner and Raffle: Contact our AD Nathan Robinson if you are interested in purchasing a ticket.
May 21st - Fundraiser Night Announcement: We are excited to announce a special fundraiser night at Lowes Foods of Bethlehem! From 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Lowes Foods will generously donate 10% of total purchases to support ACHS. Don't miss this opportunity to shop for a cause and contribute to our school. Remember to mention that you are with ACHS at the checkout to ensure your purchase counts towards the fundraiser.
June 7th - Graduation: We are thrilled to announce that our graduation ceremony will take place at 7:00 PM at Glenn G. Wilson Field. Please mark your calendars and join us in celebrating the achievements of our graduating seniors.
End-of-Year Activities:
As we approach the end of the school year, we have several exciting events and activities planned for our students. From awards ceremonies to senior walks, there will be plenty of opportunities for our students to celebrate their accomplishments and enjoy time with their peers.
April 22 - Senior Class Meeting: During Flex in the ACHS Auditorium
May 8 - Prom Promise: We are partnering with Alexander County Emergency Services again this year to host an event aimed at promoting positive choices, particularly as our students celebrate Prom.
May 11 - Prom: 7:00-11:00 PM at Moretz Mill
May 14 - Elementary School Senior Walks: BES, EES, SLES, SPES (11:00 AM - 1:30 PM)
May 14 - FFA Banquet: 6:00 PM in the ACHS Cafeteria
May 15 - Beta Club Gold Tassel Dinner: 6:30 PM in the ACHS Cafeteria
May 16 - Elementary School Senior Walks: HES, TES, WES (11:00 AM - 1:30 PM)
May 19 - Honor Graduate Ceremony: 3:00 PM in the ACHS Auditorium
May 20 - AP Academy Banquet: 6:30 - 7:30 PM at First United Methodist Church
May 22 or 23 - ACT Cookout for Juniors: 11:30 AM - 1:45 PM on the Football Field
May 24 - Scholarship Ceremony: 8:30 AM in the ACHS Auditorium
May 24 - Awards Day Ceremony: Time TBD (Location - ACHS Varsity Gymnasium)
May 29- Senior Cookout: 11:30 AM- 2:45 PM on the Football Field
June 6 - Graduation Practice: 1:00 PM (We will begin in the Varsity Gymnasium)
June 7 - Senior Breakfast: 8:00 AM in the Cafeteria

Reminders:
Please ensure that your child is staying focused and attending school daily as we approach the end of the year. Encouraging them to finish strong will set them up for success.
Stay updated on any important announcements or events by checking our school website and Facebook page.
Please ensure that the senior walk field trip form, which went home with students on Wednesday, is signed and returned as soon as possible. We need an accurate headcount to share with the elementary schools for planning purposes.

High School Attendance Policy: Students missing (9) or more days in a semester-long class will not receive credit for the course unless the student makes a 70 or higher on the EOC, CTE State Assessment, and/or teacher-made exam and earns a passing grade (60) for the course.
The Exam Exemption Policy applies:
Students may earn the opportunity to be exempted from final exams each semester in classes NOT giving an EOC or CTE exam by meeting the following attendance requirements:
Final Grade # of absences (excused and unexcused)
A 4 or less
B 3 or less
C 2 or less
