Description: Participants in Comic Book Club: “March” will learn about the formal elements of comic books before performing a deep dive on one piece of work in particular: John Lewis, Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell’s “March: Book 1.”
This comic tells the story of the late John Lewis’ early life and experience in the Civil Rights Movement. Finally, participants will create their own comic art to reflect their experience reading about Mr. Lewis’ life. This program will continue the successful partnership between Sarah Heinz House and The Toonseum, whose President (and professional comics artist) Marcel Walker will co-teach the class.
Participants will receive a free copy of "March" delivered to their house.
Platform: Zoom
