Description: Can’t stop making things? Interested in cracking codes, building inventions, and making noise?
Join us on Assemble’s Adventures in Making! Learn to create your own bag using knot-tying skills and other “no-sew” fiber projects. Create new inventions from everyday things! Get electrical with circuits and LEDs. Create a smaller version of a place in your mind or in your life.
Over the week, students will make the following projects:
● No-Sew Tote Bags - Create your own on the go bag using just knot tying skills and a T-shirt, explore other various "no-sew" fiber projects
● Inventions - Use recycled materials, LEDs, and voice recorders to create a brand new invention that you can use on your adventures.
● Dioramas - Construct a miniature model of something using cardboard, paper, and other materials. Will it be a model of your house? Community? Secret lair?
● DIY Instruments - Learn how to construct an instrument using various simple materials. Explore how these different materials make different sounds and discover why. Get creative by decorating the instrument and adding flair.
● Ciphers and Codes - Make your own secret messages and learn how to write code as we explore cipher puzzles and invisible ink.
