Ms. Eva Mousa Isshak - Arabic
My name is Eva Mousa Isshak. I have been an Arabic teacher at AISJ for seventeen years. Welcome to the new year at the American International School of Jeddah. I am pleased and honored to be your teacher, and I am genuinely looking forward to working with and getting to know each one of my students and their families this year. My hope is that if you participate in our exploration, we will make learning engaging, meaningful, and fun! With the circumstances of the past two years, we all struggled to cope with the changes, but together we will try to overcome the difficulties and find a way to work and learn many new and valuable things. I expect excellence from all of my students and that every student will put forth his or her best effort every day. This type of learning, however, can only take place with full cooperation by all involved, helping you achieve all the goals you have set for the year. This will surely make everybody proud, from your parents to the teachers and administration. I will support you throughout this journey and help you with any issues or problems that arise. However, my dedication is expected to be matched by YOU! I Am Very excited to see you at the start of this new school year.

Ms. Reem Shams El Din - AFL (HS & MS)
Marhaba Marhaba Marhaba my dear MS scholars! You can tell how I am super excited to see that you are here, and that finally you reached this page during your summer. Yes, I can see ya! Ahaln wa sahlan, you are in the right page! :)
Arabic as a Foreign Language is a class full of wonder and excitement. Ms. Reem is here to guide you on your journey of mastering this classical and poetic language. Some of the benefits of learning Arabic include:
You can make jokes your Non Arab people won't understand
In case you run into Haifa Wehbe at the airport, you can say hello
You'd sound extra cool if you start a hip-hop career
You can pretend you don't speak Arabic, then listen in on Arab's conversations without them knowing
You could move to Los Angeles and be cast in movies where you speak Arabic
Ms. Reem will probably give you a good grade :)
All of these things are just the perks of speaking Arabic. The true benefit of learning to speak this elegant & ancient tongue is that you have the privilege of spending your time in the company of the one and only Ms. Reem (who was recently placed in Time's Top 100 list of most amazing people, just above Beyonce and just below Oprah). Rumor has it that she recently had brunch with Taylor Swift and is on Rihanna's speed dial.
Taking this class would be, without a doubt, the best decision you've ever made. :)
No matter how many years I've been teaching at AISJ, you can rest assured that you will have the best journey ever in learning this unique language, ARABIC in my class with a well expert educator! Believe it or not, you're a lucky scholar to be in an Arabic class here at AISJ, with me or any of the other experienced teachers. You will have the fun and knowledge at the same time.
I am sure we will have a lot to share together when we're back! Can't wait to hear from all of you!
It is no secret to get better at something, you need to practice. Well, practice is the main key to learning a foreign language. Therefore, please find some links below to discover and learn/review.
