Ms. Maggie Gibbs - Grade Six
Welcome to Grade 6 Science, new Middle School scholars. You are about to experience an exciting change! This will be a year of growth, new experiences, and increased independence, and with that comes increased responsibility. How do I know? Well, I’m proud to say I’ve been teaching middle school science and math for over 20 years, so I know a thing or two about what will take place in your Grade 6 school life. I started teaching in my home state of Texas, U.S.A. In 2010, I took my first overseas teaching position, and since then, I have taught at international schools in six countries: Kosova, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Slovakia, Italy, and now, Saudi Arabia. I have taught various science and math courses at the M.S. and H.S. level, including IB Biology, AP Environmental Science, Physical Science, Algebra, Geometry, and every level of M.S. science and math. My university degree is in the field of biology, but I love learning and sharing my passion for all of the sciences! Outside of school, I spend as much of my spare time SCUBA diving and traveling, this past year I hit the “50th country”’ mark on my list of places traveled. I’m looking forward to visiting my family and friends in Fort Worth this summer, the highlight will be eating Tex-Mex plus hiking and fishing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Have a great summer, and see y’all in August!

Ms. Christina Al Haddadin - Grade Seven
Welcome to Grade 7 Science! I am excited to have you on board this year. We will focus on various new concepts, ideas, and experiments. Our class is engaging and interactive; we encourage scholars to explore, ask questions, and think critically. I have been an educator for 7 years and I am dedicated to helping our scholars succeed. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Analysis and a Master of Education degree in Research for Secondary Education. This is my eleventh year here in Jeddah with my husband (Layth), my daughter (Carla), and my son (Michael). I enjoy every second of being in a diverse culture where we are all just the same; we are human beings trying to enjoy this world in our ways. Apart from teaching, I enjoy attending science conferences, participating in professional development opportunities, and collaborating with colleagues. Outside the classroom, I enjoy cooking, biking, and spending time with my family.

Dr. Rabia - Grade Eight
I am a cat mom. This is my 23rd year of teaching and the 9th at AISJ. I love cooking and helping cats in need, and am passionate about learning new skills. I love to go around the world and have visited 27 countries until now. I am licensed by the State of Indiana and a mentor for the Moreland teachers program. I am PDA member and trainer and am in the process of becoming a lead trainer. Believe in Connection before correction. During Orientation week, we will do some Relationship building and Belongingness exercises. My class is an inquiry-based, positive discipline, scholar-centered learning room. Scholars will develop their critical thinking skills and will do some claim evidence reasoning practices during our labs.
