Attendance

Every minute counts! At The Ridge, high attendance is expected by all families. If we are to ensure each child reaches their potential, they must be in school.  

The school day is from 8:45am-2.45pm Monday to Thursday and 08:45 to 13:00 on Fridays.   

The Attendance Team of Mr Meggs and Mrs Anthony will be leading the drive to support all families to have their child achieve strong attendance. The aim is for every child to achieve a termly and annual attendance of 97% and above, putting them in the green section of the SOL Attendance Diamond.

Working together and aiming high with attendance will make a huge impact on your child’s academic and SEMH progress and support develop friendships and an embedded enjoyment of learning, empowering them to become the very best versions of themselves.  

We appreciate that children are sometimes ill, but whenever possible if they feel well enough to be in school we encourage you to send them in. If your child has a medical appointment we still expect them to attend school before or after this time if possible.
