Physical Education

Curriculum Intent

“To uncover your true potential you must first find your own limits and then you have to have the courage to blow past them.” ~ Picabo Street

“Intelligence and skills can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong”                 ~ John F. Kennedy

At New Forest Academy, PE is a valued and varied part of the curriculum enabling students to express themselves in a competitive environment. Through lessons and extracurricular activities, we believe we encourage an inclusive culture which promotes individual development. The range of sports and activities we provide allow all students opportunities to explore their potential and test their limits.

This in turn inspires pupils to consider all aspects of their physical, mental and social health and inspires them to embed a positive relationship with sport and physical activity both while at school and after leaving. We encourage students to be confident in their own ability and have conviction in the decisions they make whilst also holding sporting values such as fairness, teamwork, discipline and respect.
