All students are allowed to borrow 4 physical books for a 2 week period. The books then meed to be returned or renewed for a further 2 weeks. A date is stamped on the 1st page stating when the book is due back.
There are over 6000 popular fictional titles and 1000 manga.
There are over 6000 non fictional titles.
There are 500 reference books.
The ePlatform app is a dedicated eBook lending app personalised to the school library. It allows users to read eBooks anywhere, any time on multiple devices. The user-friendly interface includes full search and filtering options to make finding titles simple.
Students have instant access to eBook and Audiobook using the app:
Click on ‘sign in’ this will automatically align the account.
Click ‘Start Browsing’ this will take you to the main page or use the tabs at the top.
Borrowers can loan 2 ebooks at a time for 2 weeks, with the option to renew. An email is sent to the borrower 2 days before the loan expires, where it can be extended for another 2 weeks, providing it has not been reserved.
If an ebook is already on loan, it can be reserved and will automatically be accessible to you when the loan expires.
Borrowers can also ‘save for later’ a book, compiling their own reading lists.
When reading an ebook for the first time, the font size and background colour can be selected automatically with the ‘setting wizard’; this is advantageous for dyslexic and challenging readers. If desired, this is easy customisable.
The reader can return to the page because an automatic bookmark is used.
Unfamiliar words can be automatically defined, with an explanation by highlighting them. To encourage proper pronunciation, the word can also be heard by clicking the volume tab, which will transport you to another page on the site where it can be heard, promoting confidence and expanding vocabulary.

The Library - ‘The Girl Who Became a Tree’ by Joseph Coelho
It’s original use
overgrown in history
The grey block-work,
A barricade of teeth.
The building is round,
wooden shelves line it rotundity
like ribs inside a vast torso.
It is a library
But also
It is alive
It breathes,
It is a wood.
It is a forest.
It’s shelves have been wrestled
from every type of tree
to house these books:
Black ebony entombs
The Horror.
Bright Pine hugs
The poems,
Black-brown Cedar wraps
The Mysteries,
As broad Oak clasps
The Histories.
The tables were hacked from Burmese Teak
To withstand all scratching.
It is a library but also not.
A library of knots.
It’s heart always a murmur. The rustling of pages
Could be mistaken for leaves.
Whenever Daphne enters after school,
She takes three deep breaths
Of the library’s woody scent.
Listens for it’s pulse.
Closes her eyes and sees the forest
Thats just a page-turn away.
