The Swedish Mobility

Pupils from England, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and Turkey were treated to a week of learning about how Swedish univeristies and companies are meeting future challenges by researching new, cleaner ways of producing and using energy.

Our team visited Mälardalens Universitet to learn about the physics behind improving renewable energy, while a visit to Volvo helped them understand how one of the World's leading vehicular companies is constantly updating their practices.

The Nobel Museum offered our pupils the chance to learn about sustainable cities and the incredible work done by Nobel laureates.

Eskilstuna is home to the largest man-made wetland in Sweden, which is used to clean our water supply. A visit to a local solar energy array was used to demonstrate how even in Sweden we can use solar energy to boost our renewable energy contribution. The week was capped off by a talk and Q&A with Mattias Sjöberg who is the CEO of Vasa Vind.
