Antropogenic climate change is the greatest threat to mankind's survival on planet Earth. Over the last thirty years governments around the world have engaged in talks that resulted in empty, broken promises. We are now at a crossroads in our development as a species: do we continue on this path that has seen an increase in carbon dioxide emissions and an increase in the average global temperature, or do we try something new?
We believe that the safety of our planet should be entrusted to those that will be its future inhabitants, namely our children. It is for this reason that six partner schools located in Poland, Turkey, England, Italy, Portugal and Sweden have joined together to conduct a two-year Erasmus funded project that focuses on various facets of the climate change conundrum. Using their knowledge of the natural sciences, sociology and geography our pupils will undertake projects centered on air quality, climate friendly technology, global water security, freshwater water sources and the ethics of climate change. It is through this medium that we hope to expand understanding of the crisis that is upon us in our schools and our local communities.
