Challenge 6: Ouch. Refunds & Feedback (HARD!)

Warning: This is a Hard Challenge.

  • Writing an email or text is the easy part.

  • The challenge is having the courage to do it.

  • Another challenge is having the skill and care to using kind and professional language.

Imagine this. You spent many months working to buy your dream computer game machine. You ordered it online, and it got delivered.

It was fun for three months until you realized there are faulty parts.

And the machine's warranty is exactly three months.

What should you do?

You could do two things. A or B?

A: Accept the situation because you didn't check for all the parts upon receiving the delivery.

B: Raise a complaint demanding the components or some compensation

Activity:

  1. Decide if you/ your child is going to refund a product.

    • If yes, proceed to next step.

    • If no, feel free to run through the next steps for learning purposes.

  2. Research online or among your family & friends on how to do a refund.

    • Find online examples of refunds and complaints

    • Find if any promises made by the seller previously

    • Find if any laws protect you as a consumer

    • If the refund has a particular process, list them carefully.

  3. List and finalize the steps to do the refund.
