Challenge 2: Order Food & Track It!

Skills:

  • Appreciate sequencing and process of order

  • Anticipate order time and potential issues (via role play)

  • Read Map & status of order

Activity (15 - 30 mins + order waiting time):

  1. Make the order as Challenge 1: Know the menu & price. While waiting...

  2. Ask child to role-play what he/she thinks is going on upon sending the order based on the status screen.

  3. Discussion Questions:

    • What happens when we click the order button? What happens next?

    • Who is in the restaurant? What is their job?

    • Challenging Questions:

      • Does the McD guy deliver one order or multiple order in one drive?

      • What are the possible issues at each stage / person? (the person receiving the order, the kitchen, the driver...)

      • Questions for the driver / delivery person?


  1. When the food arrives at your door:

    • Let your child collect the food

    • Allow your child to ask questions to driver if any

  2. Enjoy Food!

  3. Role-play again, or even visiting a restaurant to improve the understanding of the food order process.
