Advice from Higher Ed
Plan ahead and make an appointment with a Higher Ed Counsellor starting in Year 5.
Be organised and keep all relevant materials like results, certificates etc in a googledrive and hard copy file for easy access later. Some universities request for “Certified True Copy” stamp and signature on your photocopies. Get this done from the General Office of the school.
Create your own table for application deadlines and checklist management
Think about which academic teacher/s you would like to request for references from.
Consider the different factors (location, strength of the course etc) of studying at a particular university carefully. To make a successful choice, identify the factors that are most important to you. Remember, while your parents, guidance counsellors, teachers and friends will give you lots of good advice, the ultimate decision is yours.
Speak with your parents regarding financial matters.
Check out our Higher Ed writeups from Alumni Talks, University Talks, Job Shadowing and many more in our school's monthly newsletters. You will definitely learn something :)
