The Wellness committee at ACS has asked me to help them make a graphic for upcoming events that will be offered to staff. They would like some sort of interactive map that shows all of the events and possibly includes links for signup and more information.
I've had a conversation with a member of the committee discussing what they would like for the graphic. The idea is that during this time of distance learning, it has been difficult for staff to feel connected and to socialize. The committee wants to provide a variety of opportunities for staff to get together whether virtually, or through socially distanced and out door events. The group is working to promote both social and physical wellness.
Activities include a movie night on the field, virtual chat/coffee, hikes, picnics and quiz night.
The staff is a diverse group. A range of ages, nationalities, families and single people.
My target audience is the staff of ACS. As i noted above it is a diverse group.
The wellness committee of ACS needs a graphic to share events with the entire ACS community. It needs to be easy to understand, interactive and engaging.
Working on generating ideas. It helps me to write them on paper instead of typing. I think it feels more open and organic to brainstorm that way. It also helps me see connections as I write and draw arrows, etc. I'll keep coming back to this document as I work.
I'm not sure the CYOA book cover would be as recognizable to everyone as I first thought. I like the idea of the Dora Map, it just looks fun. The aerial view map isn't as good as I thought it would be. I've asked some staff to see if there might be a map somewhere that I could use, but that might actually be my least favorite idea. I'll also look and see what might be available on Canva.
