ACS Egham considers academic honesty to be of the utmost importance in our school.
If you are unsure about the school’s guidelines on academic honesty, please refer to the ‘ACS Egham MYP Academic Honesty Policy Continuum’ document (available on the school intranet or from any of your teachers, the Personal Project Coordinator, the IB MYP Coordinator, the Grade 9/10 Academic Dean, the Middle/High School Librarian or the High School Principal).
All Grade 10 students are expected to demonstrate the originality of their work in the Personal Project in 5 ways:
In Grade 10, you will already be familiar with the process of submitting assessments electronically to Turnitin, the system the school uses to check for improper citation and potential plagiarism.
You will be expected to upload a copy of your final Personal Project report (or a typed copy of your notecards, if you are doing an oral report) to ManageBac.
When you have uploaded your report to ManageBac, it will automatically be checked by Turnitin for similarities with other work published on the Internet.
The Personal Project Coordinator and your supervisor will review your Originality Report on ManageBac and contact you if there are any concerns
