1. Findings & Impacts

You must verify your site in the Google Search Console account in order that Google provides you with the collected data, such as the terms that lead to your site, its ranking (based on these terms), and the number of users who click on your site in the search result pages.

This interface is also a way to get warnings if Google identifies problems on your website, such as malware, hacking attempts or failure to comply with Google's SEO guidelines.

It is also the only interface that allows you to interact with Googlebot through the addresses you provided in your sitemap.xml, url blocked by robots.txt, inaccessible resources... In short, an essential tool to interact with Google's spider.

2. Recommendations

Create a Google Search Console account:

1 - Connect to https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome with your Google account.

2 - Click on 'add a website'

3 - Confirm that you are the owner of the website by doing one of the following actions:

• Import a file on your server
• Add a Meta tag in the HTML code of your website (recommended)
• Add a new record to your DNS.
• Utilise your Google Analytics account or Google Tag Manager
