NOTE: Since NEST Vision v2.5 (July 2024), the "Work Order" naming convention must be replaced by "Task".
A task corresponds to a specific operation to be done for one or more assets that can be scheduled and assigned to someone. Three kind of task operation can be requested:
Make an additional measurements with RT-300 device and apps
create a vibration task
create an alignment task
Request a remote assistance from ACOEM Advisor Center
create a Service request task
Track with Vision some external operations from other application
create an External task and manage manually work progress
RT-300 Apps can be downloaded and install on your iOS or Android tablet from the presented QR code. Use the following application according your needs:
Machine Defender for vibration measurements
Shaft alignment (horizontal or vertical) for alignment measurements
How to create a task?
Different ways can be used to create a new task:
from the assets list where you can easily filter and sort the asset flat list in order to find machines to be operated
from the alerts list where you can see the list of machine with aggravating alarm status change or instrument defects
from the asset home page where you have a global and up to date overview for a specific machine
When you click on "Create WO" button, the following need to be completed:
Operation: select operation type to be done {Vibration Check or Alignment Check}
Title: name of the taks
Description: description of the expected task
Due date: select a due date; by default it is "today" + 1 month for vibration and/or alignment and +1D for service request
Repeat: define a periodicity to recreate automatically a new task occurence when the previous one is closed - ex: new due date = previous due date + periodicity
Email notification (Y/N): check to send an email to assignee when task state changes,
Assignee: select a user to take in charge this task with his RT-300 tablet (for vibration and/or alignment operation)
Note: You can add or remove asset inside this task directly via the task assets list.
Click on SAVE button to create task and send notification.
At this moment, this new task is visible into the task list with the following informations:
Creation date
Title
Assets: list of assets concerned by this task
Status: work progress of this task ; default status is New
Overdue: show a warning icon if task is soon overdue or overdue
Due date
Close date: date & time when task has been closed
Assignee
See below a simplified workflow to explain task status changes and task overdue warning:
Periodic task workflow
In order to avoid to create periodically the same task with the same machines, you can create directly a periodic task and enter the periodicity and the end date of execution - example:
check "Repeat" option
Enter the periodicity of execution: N + Days, Weeks, Months, ...
Enter end of execution: "On" + date, "After" + no occurence, Never
A periodic task is managed in the same way as a non-periodic task except that this task is automatically reopened after its closure (manual or automatic) as long as the end-of-execution conditions are not met - example:
How to execute a task(vibration or alignment) with RT-300?
According the request operation into the WO, the assignee user must use the corresponding RT-300 app - ie: Machine Defender or Horizontal / Vertical shaft alignment apps - to make the measurement. If the app is not yet installed on his tablet, then user can scan the QR code presented into the task email and install application. The user experience is very similar between vibration or alignment task because apps have been developed with the same UX approach - ie: GuideU Field Guidance
Example: An assignee user uses Machine Defender to make task measurements for one machine
Start Machine Defender app
click on SETTINGS to enter your assignee user account and NESTi4 server address + TCP port
Click on LIST OF MACHINES button
Click on SYNCHRONIZE button
Machine task assigned to you are downloaded into the tablet and presented into the list of machines.
Select a machine from the list and start measurements ...
When machine has been measured
Click on VALIDATE TASK MACHINE button in order to consider this machine as ready to be sent back to NESTi4 server with measurements.
If the linked parent task contains only this machine, then this task will be considered as CLOSED.
If other machine must be measured, then this task will be considered as IN PROGRESS.
Click on SYNCHRONIZE button to
upload all new measurements (task machines and/or new machines) to NESTi4 server
removed these machines from the app
download new task machines to be measured
NOTE: machine can be uploaded to NESTi4 one by one by clicking on the "cloud" button presented into the details of a machine
When all task machine have been uploaded, then all corresponding task status are automatically updated and synchronised into Vision.
Corresponding email notification are sent automatically.
New measurements and reports can be consult by users in Vision and/or NESTi4
Task email notification Workflow
Email notifications are sent to the assignee along the progress of each work order. These emails can be used to manage maintenance team activity, and track task completion.
email task notification - If activated during the task creation, then an email is sent to the task assignee in order to inform him to execute this task. All needed information are repeated into the email text in order to explain what kind of job is asked, on which machines and when this job must be done at the later - see below an example of email:
email template:
domain
licence code to identify customer account
name domain title
Work order
Id work order unique identifier
Name work order title
Type operation (Vibration, Alignment or SR)
Due date deadline to execute operation
Periodic not supported for the moment
Task assets list of machine to be measured
<database name> / <machine name>
...etc...
QR code can be scaned from the tablet in order to install RT-300 apps to be used to make measurements
NOTE
if email notiification is activated for a WO, then assignee will receive an email for each change of task status - ie: CREATED, CHANGED or CLOSED - or task properties - ie: operation, description, list of machine, ... and email text presents new information in bold text

How to close manually a task?
A task is closed automatically when corresponding measurements are uploaded from tablet into nesti4. For any reason, a task may not be achievable by the planned due date, so it must be closed manually. In this case, you must select the corresponding task from the list and click on the "close" button ☑️:
At this moment, the task status is changed to Closed and the task will no longer be downloaded into any tablet.
NOTE:
If this task contains more than 1 machine, then the task is closed for all machines.
If measurements of some machines have not been uploaded from the tablet before the task closure, then it is possible to send them later from the tablet just by clicking on "Synchronize" or "Upload" button
If this task is a periodic task then the task is closed and immediately reopened (with NEW status) and the due date is redefined to "date of manual closing" + "period"
