Fundraising is one of the umbrellas under the Advancement Department. Fundraising can also be known as development in many organizations; this is the act of soliciting donations for the organization. This includes everything from grant writing and Chipotle fundraisers and annual appeal letters to major donors and friends that put ABC in their wills. Use this form to request funds beyond a program’s original budget. This process is in place to allow for funding of unforeseen circumstances, opportunities that arise outside of the budget development period, and additional funding for normal operating expenditures. This process is intended to supplement the regular budget development cycle.

Online Giving:
If you know someone who would like to donate to ABC or one of our many member organizations, please direct them to https://abccincy.org
From our ABC home page, click the “Donate Now” button in the upper right corner.
You will be directed to our Support ABC page where you will find a yellow “Donate” button in a box on the lower right side of the page. Click the yellow “Donate” button.
A new window will open with our logo and the words “Donate to Activities Beyond the Classroom”. Next, you will enter the dollar amount you would like to donate. You can also indicate you would like to have a recurring monthly donation of the amount entered, by clicking the box just under the dollar amount. Then you will select if you want to pay via Paypal or Donate with a Credit Card or Debit Card.
If you select Paypal- you will be directed to their site where you will enter your own personal Paypal login details to complete your donation. Paypal will ask how you want to apply the donation. This is where you will type in details indicating the donation is for either ABC or a member of our fiscal agency program.
If you select to donate by credit card or debit card, you will be asked to enter the card information and associated billing address. You will also be asked where the donation will be applied and if you would like to make it a recurring donation. If you have any questions, please contact Vanessa Macy
Maybe you don’t have a ton of cash on hand to donate, but you have plenty of appreciated stock you could give. It’s easy to donate by donating the value of a stock! Follow these instructions to work with your broker to make a gift that doesn’t impact your day-to-day liquidity.
IRA Rollovers
When you reach age 70.5, a US taxpayer is required to start taking money out of their IRA. But if you don’t need that money, you can use it to your advantage for tax and charitable purposes! ABC accepts gifts of IRA Charitable Rollovers, otherwise known as Qualified Charitable Distributions. Just request that your plan administrator send the gift directly to Activities Beyond the Classroom (make sure you have our EIN, so they can find us easily), and this money will be excluded from your adjusted gross income.

Member Accounts may ask to check out ABC square card readers or ask to link one of their square readers to our account. To do this, please reach out to Lindsay Spaulding-Simmons.
ABC only has two square readers. They are hard to check out during football season as they are used for games. If no readers are available to check out and the Square account can’t be linked, email the Manager, Member Services, and Finance to see if there might be an option to purchase an additional card reader. If this occurs, you will work with the Manager of Member Services, who will assist in helping to get things set up. Please give 5 business days prior notice of needing a square reader to make sure we can find an option that will work best for each situation.
PayPal Button
To request the creation of a PayPal button, please email Lindsay Spaulding-Simmons.. If you have a logo you want to appear on the PayPal button page, please attach that to your original email request to help the process to move forward faster. Please give 5 business days prior notice before you need the button to function, as there is code that will be created so you can embed the button onto your webpage.
