Parent Child Protection Information
Child Protection Resource Scotland
A 'Keeping Children Safe in Scotland' website has been launched by the Scottish Government. This resource provides you with information about the Child Protection procedures that are in place for your child in Scotland.
The website is split into three separate sections for information for children, young people and parents/carers. The website includes details about how schools keep children safe and what rights you have on this.

With the sun shinning, activities organised and ice lollies in the freezer, it was time for our annual Sports Day.
To start the day, P1-4 and P5-7 had the opportunity to earn lots of house points through competing in 12 potted sports activity stations. In the afternoon it was ready, set, GO for our sports day races. The children had an opportunity to complete in heats in bean bag balancing, racket and ball and a sprint race. All of our pupils were incredible and showed our school values of respect and kindness towards everyone. Special mention to our Primary 7 pupils who demonstrated their leadership skills and abilities when helping to organise equipment and supporting the younger members of our school.
Of course it wouldn't be a Seaton Sports Day without a teacher and parent race. Well done for everyone that joined in.
A huge well done to all our pupils for being so amazing!
At Seaton we strive to support and promote positive relationships and good mental health. To support our pupils with understanding their emotions and regulating behaviour we use the Emotion Works programme. This programme follows 5 cogs focusing on different areas of wellbeing; emotion words, emotion behaviours, body sensations, triggers and regulation strategies. Following the cog model pupils build upon vocabulary words to label their emotions, develop their understanding of how emotions feel in their bodies and what triggers different emotions for them. Supporting pupils to understand how to regulate their emotions is a key cog in the process. Allowing pupils to discuss, share and identify strategies to regulate how they are feeling. More about the Emotion Works programme can be found by on the document opposite.
If you would like to use the Emotion Works approach to discussing Health and Wellbeing at home, please take a look at the 'Emotion Works at Home' for some ideas.
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze School Award for our development of the programme across the school. We are incredibly proud of our pupils and staff, particularly our Health and Wellbeing pupil group for leading this project. Next session we will continue to develop the programme through our Health and Wellbeing curriculum and apply for Silver accreditation.
Well done everyone!
