This week we received our Sports Day medals which were delivered by the Nursery team.
We have been learning about our bodies, camping out, winning medals, tying ribbons at our school and preparing a surprise for the P7 Buddies.
This week we learned all about what it means to be blind and using Braille.
In the reflection part we thought carefully about what we have learned over the last months and made up our own top tips for staying happy in difficult times.
LI: I can think carefully about what I have learned and give advise to myself and other for the future.
Our Big Question for this week was health based: How can I keep myself mentally healthy and motivated?
In an art and HWB activity we made "Looking forward jars" and enjoyed decorating them. We keep on filling them until the holidays in order to keep us motivated.
LI: I am able to stay positive by being creative and looking forward to little to things I can do.
Our next Big Question we further developed was science based: "Why aren't we all the same?" We have looked at ourselves and how different we were as babies. Even so, we managed to recognise almost everyone of us in a guessing game related to "My Healthy body" topic.
LI: I can describe somewhere that makes me happy and give reasons why
LI: I can give advice to someone who is feeling sad
We have been looking at mental health and what makes us happy
We remembered holidays, happy places, loved ones and activities we do to keep us positive
Using our own experiences we have been giving advice to others in case they ever feel sad
We came up with some great ideas such as giving hugs, listening, showing we understand and trying to take their minds off things
LI: I can reflect on my time at home and give advice to others
We planned at the start of the week to get us thinking about mental health and how our experiences affect us mentally. We thought about the kind of advice and tips we would give to others if they ever had to go through something like this again.
Stay positive
Keep in touch with family and friends
Go outside

The year is 2124 and the world is facing a global pandemic. There hasn't been a major pandemic since Covid-19. All digital systems have crashed and books have become obsolete. It's up to a 'time traveller' called Zane to save the day. He wants information from the past (our present) to help him and others cope.
Zane manages to connect to the P6/7 Google Classroom and asks for help in how to deal with the upcoming crisis.
How do we thrive in difficult times?
