Background Information

Brimmond School is a new school formed by merging two existing primary school communities – Bucksburn Primary and Newhills Primary. Brimmond School is situated in the Bucksburn area of Aberdeen, within the Education Authority of Aberdeen City.

 From October 2015 the school has been housed in a new building and site at Netherhills Place, Bucksburn, Aberdeen.

Brimmond School and Nursery are part of an Associated Schools Group (ASG) together with Stoneywood and Kingswells Schools.  All 3 Primary schools feed into Bucksburn Academy.  Brimmond School also shares a site with the Vision Support Service.  

Our staff consists of the Senior Leadership Team, comprising of a Head Teacher, 2 Depute Head Teachers, a Principal Teacher, as well as a team of 20 teachers and 14 PSAs. The current school roll is 495 pupils, across 16 classes. We also have, a Pupil Support Team (ASN/SFL) and a Nurture Room to support pupil need across the school.

In nursery, we have a team comprising of 12 staff members, including two Senior Early Years Practitioners.

Within the local community resources such as Bucksburn Library, the Beacon Centre, Bucksburn Swimming Pool and Newhills Church are available to access as appropriate.
