GIRFEC
GIRFEC is an acronym that stands for "Getting It Right For Every Child"
GIRFEC promotes eight factors that matter when considering a child’s wellbeing. These are known as the Wellbeing Indicators and often referred to by the acronym SHANARRI.
The Wellbeing Indicators are :
Safe Healthy Achieving Nurtured
Active Respected Responsible Included
These eight factors are embedded in Brimmond Nursery practice impacting on planning, communication and development work.
