First Grade

Project Description: Students observed patterns of the sun, moon, and stars and made predictions about astrological bodies. This assisted in understanding standard time intervals such as hours, days, and months. These understandings were used to create a calendar to keep track of important events in the classroom community such as birthdays and holidays from various traditions and cultures.
