Sphero EDU is a hands-on learning platform that lets students program and control Sphero robots, including the BOLT and RVR. Using the Sphero EDU app, students can code with simple block-based programming, draw paths for the robot to follow, or advance to text-based JavaScript coding. The BOLT is great for learning coding basics, problem-solving, and creativity through interactive challenges, while the RVR offers more advanced features for exploring engineering, sensors, and customization. Both help students build STEM skills in a fun and engaging way.
All AACPS middle schools have Bolt robots and all AACPS high schools have RVRs. See your media specialist for how to check them out.
Note: Students are not allowed to create accounts or sign into Sphero EDU.
Students use a variety of technologies within a design process to identify and solve problems by creating new, useful, or imaginative solutions.
Students develop processes and employ strategies for understanding and solving problems in ways that leverage the power of technology.
