Templates for any grade level and content area. Click, make a copy and modify as needed.

Students create a photo graphic scene based on a topic of study.  Students label and explain the items chosen for their image. 

As students read, have them use this template to reflect on the content. . 

Using this template from Catlin Tucker, students reflect on an open-ended, debatable or controversial statement with guidance. 

As students read, have the take note of sentences that made them go "Hmmm" and "Yeah", while also choosing what they feel is the one most important sentence in the passage. 

Students create a diagram, chart, or illustration using only the drawing tools in Google Slides based on the lesson. 

Use this template when reading with students to promote asking questions, visualizing, and reflection. 

Students respond to literature by choosing one of 6 prompts.

Vocabulary Activities

Students create a virtual word wall based on a concept or book. 

Students create a visually dictionary of vocabulary words by inserting images and using the word(s) in context. 

Students write the definition in the box, find a synonym or antonym, t use the word in a sentence, and find an image of the word.

In this assignment idea from WeVideo, students define 3 to 4 words related to a topic using the Frayer Model. 

Students choose from 6 different options

Students complete a wanted poster for a vocabulary word that includes synonyms, antonyms and a definition. 

Reading Activities

Use this table to have students share books they have read or currently reading with their classmates. 

Students set goals and keep track of their reading using this Google Sheet. 

Jamboard template for students to use when peer reviewing another student's written story. 

Students compose a poem following the famous Fibonacci sequence as a guide for the number of syllables per line. 

Students practice writing using this Jamboard. Have them use the popsicle stick to help with spacing. 

Students reflect on the books they are reading with this virtual bookshelf template. 

Students create a short, video biography of a literary character from a book they are reading. 

Students analyze and interpret character archetypes in literature and demonstrate their understanding by creating a poster in Adobe Express. 

Reading Response Journal

Students record their thoughts and feelings about what they are reading in these two journals. 

Students choose 1 of 6 ways to demonstrate their understanding of a piece of informational text.

Virtual Manipulatives

The Smart Learning Suite Online has a variety of virtual manipulatives including letter tiles, base 10 blocks, coins, fraction tiles, clocks, hundreds chart, and music notes.

Human Bar Graph

Use this slide deck whole group to gather a class's responses on a topic.

Students visualize a word problem, creating a graphic to represent their solution. 

Students create an infographic to explain a geometry concept. 

Check this site for secondary math activities from Old Mill HS's math department.

Hundreds chart template in Jamboard. 

Students are provided with a variety of math icons to make explaining their work easy. 

*Note- the template will appear blank in preview mode because the icons are off to the side. 

Provide students with a target number and see how many ways they can make that number.

Wixie Math Templates

Open Wixie from Classlink. Select Templates from the left hand menu and open the Math folder to access dozens of templates including hundreds charts, number bonds, coordinate planes, and grid paper. 

Students use one of six math strategies to show how they solved a problem.
