Apex Arts' mission is to provide students with rigorous, immersive, and collaborative artistic experiences that are rooted in the creative process, while preparing them for an array of future opportunities.
During Apex+ (extended day) instruction, students from all arts primes at both Apex Arts schools have the chance to further refine their craft in small group instruction while expanding their creative lens through collaboration, community engagement, and multiple performance avenues. They also get the opportunity to further explore and practice the Creative Process across Year 1, 2, and 3 to set them up for success in the Senior Capstone series in Year 4.
Students are inspired and challenged to develop at their own pace and partner with classmates in order to create an atmosphere of cooperative learning with opportunities for exploration across the arts.
Whether a student’s goal is to become an art scholar, a practicing artist, or to use art as a creative outlet, Apex+ courses and projects provide a solid foundation in critical thinking and creative skills for life. Performances and exhibits at every level instill a sense of pride and ownership for students and give the community an opportunity to enjoy our students’ work.
