If you want to be a better basketball player, there’s only one thing you can do. “You’ve got to get your butt in the gym,” Coach Kelsey says.
“If people think they’re going to get it on the pillowcase, it’s not going to happen. You can’t nap your way to being a great shooter.”
“You need to put the phones down, stop FaceTiming, stop tweeting, and get your butt in the gym,” she says. “It doesn’t have to be an hour, two hours — twenty minutes every day.”
“That’s it. There’s no magic formula, there’s no secret potion you can rub on your hands. Get your butt in the gym and practice. Period. End of story.”
