Students in fifth grade will continue to utilize their sketchbooks to practice and develop original ideas. Students will begin to identify different careers in art, and different ways to create 3D art. Students will also venture into the realm of 4D art with animation shorts. Students will be encouraged to actively engage in student choice with subject and media, and independence with studio materials and space. At the end of the fifth grade year, students will take home their sketchbooks and a drawing portfolio that has documented their growth since first grade.
