1st Grade

Students in first grade will review the seven Elements of Art that they learned in Kindergarten: line, shape, color, texture, form, space and value. During this year, students will build upon their understanding of the seven Elements by exploring them deeper, with more independence, or by combing them to see how the elements can work together. Students will continue to learn material care and safety with an increasing focus on student choice and independence.
