Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship
Description: The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship is a college scholarship of $1,500 awarded to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation and leadership in school activities and work experience, and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness related fields. The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. The 2021 program will be accepting scholarship applications from August 1st, 2020 until 1,000 scholarship applications are submitted or August 1st, 2021, whichever comes first.

Description: The purpose of the Hagan Scholarship is to provide each scholarship recipient with the opportunity to obtain a 4-year college education and graduate debt free. Eligibility requirements: must be a resident of KS, must have attended eligible high school (HHS is), 3.75 GPA or higher, must score 24 or higher on the ACT, must enroll in college the first semester after high school, FAFSA expected family contribution must be less than $6,500 and fill out FAFSA in 2019, must not have been convicted of a felony. OppU Achievers Scholarship
Description: To apply for the OppU Achievers Scholarship, submit a short essay responding to the prompted question below. For an idea of what our review committee is looking for, take a look at these scholarship essay examples from past recipients.
Scholarship decisions are based solely on an applicant’s essay response. Winners for the OppU Achievers Scholarship are selected four times a year, with submission deadlines on September 30, December 31, March 31, and June 30. America's Farmers Grow - Due Date: November 15th - February 6th
Description: For students pursuing ag-related degrees the chance to earn a $1500 college scholarship. The student must apply between November 15th-February 6th at https://www.ffa.org/scholarships, the program is managed by the National FFA Scholarship Program but applicants do not have to be FFA member, a student must seek three farmer endorsements of their application, and over $500,000 in scholarships will be awarded. Ripley Internship Fund- Due Date: April 15th
Description: The John Ripley Internship is a full-time position (40 hours/week) for 8 weeks during the summer. Interns will receive $2,500 stipend.
Qualifications: Undergraduate & graduate students who meet at least one of the following requirements are eligible: The Student is enrolled at Washburn University, the student graduated from a high-school in Shawnee County, Kansas, the student is a resident of Shawnee County, Kansas. Students must be majoring in history, anthropology, communications, marketing, graphic design, American studies, museum studies, folk arts, or a related program.

Divorce Matters Scholarship - Due Date: May 31st
Description: This scholarship is available to high school seniors and current college students who have either had parents go through a divorce or who have gone through a divorce themselves. Divorce Matters understands how difficult it can be to pay for college after being involved in a divorce and want to help someone afford a better education.
