Barton Community College: Student Athletic Training
Description: BCC Sports Medicine Department is looking for individuals interested in joining the student athletic training staff. Sports Medicine Department directs the health care delivery system used for all Cougar student-athletes. Each student athletic trainer is given the opportunity to participate in the many activities directed out of the Cougar Athletic Training Room.
Scholarship: Up to 30 students are selected to join the athletic training staff each fall will receive books and tuition performance scholarship.

Barton Community College: Presidential & Leadership Scholarship- Due: Apr 1st
Description: Presidential and Leadership Scholarships are given at the discretion of the Admissions Office. Guidelines for Admissions Presidential and Leadership Scholarships: Submit Application with an essay. (Fall 2018 Deadline is April 1) The application will be reviewed by the Admissions panel. An interview will be set up if needed. The student must be a Kansas Resident and complete 10 hours of community service per semester. (Community Service must be approved by the Director of Admissions.) *Please note: per Kansas Jayhawk Athletic Conference regulations, receiving an athletic scholarship may affect your eligibility to receive an Admissions scholarship. You may contact the Admissions Office at (620) 792-9286 if you have any questions regarding your scholarship eligibility. Presidential Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,500 per academic year. Leadership Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,000 per academic year.
Barton County Community College Foundation Scholarship - Due Date: June 1st
Description: You will not be applying for a particular scholarship, but the information provided in the application will be used to match the criteria set by the donor. Students may be eligible to receive both an academic (awarded through the financial aid office) and a Foundation scholarship. Applications received by June 1st will receive first preference in the awarding process.

K-State - First Scholars Scholarship - Due Date: Feb 15th
Description: Be a first-generation student, whose parents have no more than two years of education beyond high school and no post-secondary degree. Must be admitted to K-State by Feb 15th. Have an ACT score between 22-26. Have a high school 3.0 GPA or higher, and demonstrate financial need. You must intend to live in Putnam Hall on campus. Complete the Student Strength Inventory assessment.
Scholarship Amount: $5,000 scholarship renewable up to an additional three years.

RaiseMe Scholarships (K-State) - Sept 1st
Description: K-State is partnering with RaiseMe to promote early engagement with and award micro-scholarships to eligible high school students as early as their freshman year. Description: The Hixson Opportunity Award helps Kansas students who are facing significant personal and financial challenges come to KU. Award recipients receive up to $21,000 for educational expenses ($5,250 per year for up to four years). Hixson Opportunity Awards are available to 10 incoming KU freshmen who are residents of the state of Kansas.

Description: The Cleland Award provides financing for the college education of incoming KU freshmen who have experienced discrimination, bullying, and/or violence based on the belief, real or perceived, that said students are gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, or transgender; or for students who have exhibited support for GLBT persons.

Description: The two-year Presidential scholarship award is worth $1500 per year. Hays Academy of Hair Design - Due Date: April 27th
Description: they are offering two $500 scholarships to seniors who will graduate from any Kansas High School. All criteria must be received by May 1st. Recipients will be selected and notified by May 15th
Guidelines: Complete Hays Academy application, write a 1-2 page essay that includes discussion on all the following topics: Why you are interested in the career of Cosmetology, What professionalism means to you, and Why you would be an excellent recipient of this scholarship. Turn in this scholarship to Mrs. Randolph by April 27th so she can include your transcript and mail it for you.
