Description: Have a 3.5 Cumulative GPA or above you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. One time scholarship non-renewable.

Description: In memory of Gary "Bubba" Smith. Gary was an avid Hoisington Cardinal supporter. The criteria for this scholarship: must have a 3.0 minimum GPA, must be involved in at least one sport, and must demonstrate leadership qualities. One boy & one girl will be awarded. Hickey Family-Due Date: March 23
Description: This scholarship is a donation on behalf of Michael Earl Hickey (Class of 35), Mary Lorraine Hickey Ehrhard (Class of 36), Patrick Leon Hickey (Class of 43) and Charles “Gene Hickey (Class of 45). The recipient of this annual scholarship in the amount of $500 will be announced in May at the Awards Assembly. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5. Shealee Stover FCCLA Memorial Scholarship is offered to any Graduating Hoisington High School Senior (USD 431) who plans to attend post-secondary school upon high school graduation. Students applying must have a good character within the school district and community. Preference is given to a student seeking an education degree in college and has been involved in FCCLA or Vocal. Orr Scholarship - Due Date: March 23
Description: This scholarship is awarded annually in memory of Rose A. and Forrest L. Orr. Only Hoisington High School graduates are eligible. Scholarships will be awarded to full time (12 hours minimum) students attending a community college, college, or vocational school. Students already receiving ORR scholarship funds must have maintained a 2.5 GPA or higher in a minimum of 12 hours the prior semester to be eligible for renewal. Warner Scholarship- Due Date: March 23
Description: Must be a Hoisington High School senior, ranked in the top 5% of the graduating class. Must be in good standing as defined by the administration at Hoisington High School. Must be enrolled in at least 5 classes for both semesters of their 12th-grade year. Must be an active member of at least 1 organization, club, or activity during their senior year at Hoisington High School. Must have completed their ACT before the application deadline. Bickle/USD 431 Education Foundation-Due Date: March 23
Description: The Don Bickle family and USD 431 Education Foundation has graciously donated a sum of money that can generate approximately $200-350 yearly to be awarded to one Hoisington High School Senior annually to further their education at Fort Hays State University or NCK Tech (Hays campus only). This award is a one time only award and is nonrenewable. Applicants must be in good standing and an active member of at least 1 organization, club or activity during their senior year at HHS. Carolyn Bailey Memorial -March 23
Description: The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 286 is offering a $500 scholarship to all eligible seniors of USD 431. Candidates shall be a senior at USD 431 and a child, grandchild, great-grandchild, or 2nd degree relative (niece, nephew, first cousin) of a veteran who served in the Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion: -April 6, 1917 through November 11, 1918 (WWI) -Any time after December 12, 1941-All Wars/Conflicts, Candidates may also be a child or grandchild of any American Legion, Son of the American Legion or American Legion Women's Auxiliary member. Description: Must have at least one parent or grandparent who is a resident member of First United Methodist Church Hoisington, KS. Must have at least at 2.0 GPA. Bagley Scholarship for Medical and/or Musical Education, then the application for the Bagley Scholarship shall be open to the general population of Hoisington, with a preference for second career training and/or career enhancements of the staff of the Hoisington Nursing Home and/or the Clara Barton Hospital; and shall be awarded on a basis of financial need.
