Marianist Social Justice Collaborative & Racial Immigrant Justice

Here are the resources  which may be helpful to use within the Marianist Family.

  1. Marianist Approach to Bring Justice to Immigration

  2. National Migration Week toolkit from the USCCB 2018.

  3. Panel on Forced Migrations at the Social Practice of Human Rights Conference held at the University of Dayton in November 2-17. For more information on the Hope Border Institute.

  4. This is the Share the Journey Campaign which was launched by Pope Francis and Caritas Internationalis. I use these material to talk about how migrations and human dignity are part of Catholic teaching as well as various rights. I have found these resources to be most helpful with novices to social action.

  5. Immigration and Social Justice: A Theological Response

  6. Joint statement by the Black Catholic Theological Symposium and the Academy of Catholic Hispanic Theologians of the United States.

    And an accompanying NCR article.

  7. A Marianist Approach to Bring Justice to the Immigration Crisis of the USA

December 4, 2015 10 de ‪#‎16dias‬ to ‪#‎orangetheworld‬ and ‪#‎endviolenceagainstwomen‬: An estimated 246 million girls and boys experience school-related violence every year and one in four girls say that they never feel comfortable using school latrines, according to a survey on youth conducted across four regions. The extent and forms of school-related violence that girls and boys experience differ, but evidence suggests that girls are at greater risk of sexual violence, harassment and exploitation. In addition to the resulting adverse psychological, sexual and reproductive health consequences, school-related gender-based violence is a major obstacle to universal schooling and the right to education for girls [11].
December 3, 2015 9 de ‪#‎16dias‬ to ‪#‎orangetheworld‬ and ‪#‎endviolenceagainstwomen‬ Evidence suggests that certain characteristics of women, such as sexual orientation, disability status or ethnicity, and some contextual factors, such as humanitarian crises, including conflict and post-conflict situations, may increase women’s vulnerability to violence [15].
