At UAH, for patients that are critically ill or having impending deterioration, the ICU can be activated.
MET Call: When the medical emergency team (MET) is called, this means that the ICU team on call has about 5-15 minutes to present to your patient in question. This is for sick, deteriorating patients or if there is impending deterioration expected.

**For CTU C (currently in MAZ unit 4A7) senior resident or attending to discuss with CCU senior resident/staff as a consult for critical care support if needed
Code Blue: If a patient is in cardiac or respiratory arrest, a CODE BLUE should be called.
Anyone can activate this including students, nurses, residents, and attending physicians.
