Go to http://www.flickr.com/ and sign in with the above info (the link to the Sign in page is typically in the upper right corner of the flickr home page).
Once you are logged in, one of the options is to Upload Photos. Following that link leads to page where you can Browse for the photos on you local computer and upload them. This allows you to upload 6 photos at a time. If you have lots of photos you may want to go to the Uploading Tools page and install the Flickr Uploadr on your PC. This application will allow you to upload a large batch of files all at once.
There is no need to reduce the size of the photo. Since we have a pro flickr account, the full size original image can be uploaded and the flickr software will take care of creating appropriate sizes for web viewing. The full size image will also be available for people to download if they want to print copies.
When you upload photos you should:
Note that tags are not the same as the photo title (you can add that later) and tags that are made up of more than one word must to be set in quotes otherwise each word becomes a tag.
If you upload the photos from your browser (i.e. not using the Flickr Uploadr application) you can organize the photos in a Set by clicking on the Organize link. I have been putting the photos in Sets identified by the event and the date e.g. Bowron, B.C. aug-2005. If you use the Flickr Uploadr you are given the option of creating a Set for all the photos you are uploading. And if this all seems like too much trouble, don't worry about organizing into Sets, Andrew or I can do that.
Let me know if any of this is not clear or you need other information.
