Mt. Olympus Cook Shack Project FINISHED!!

In early May, the third and final work party descended on Camp Parsons to finish up the last bits of the cook shelter before summer. The remaining projects including putting on the metal roof, finishing the half-walls and counters in the food prep area and running the electrical conduit for the lights and outlets. Under the watchful eye of master construction lead Matt Jainga from Troop 438, the team was able to rap up the remaining tasks by day's end on Saturday and everyone could return to Seattle that night.

Thanks to everyone who helped on any of the work parties -- (special mention to Garry Hamilton who attended *all three!*) Special thanks to Matt Jainga for his incomparable guidance in orchestrating this project. For Jim Yagle for working with local lumber yards and suppliers to keep costs down. Thanks as well to the T186 Troop Committee and Parsons' Camp Director Ken McEdwards for their support of the project.

Stay tuned for details on the shack dedication!
