Interested in joining our troop?

Troop 186 invites all eligible boys to join the troop. Check out our How to join troop 186 page.

Interested in the sister troop? We're spinning up for girls! Visit the Troop 681 website!

In keeping with our Troop’s longstanding history and tradition, and consistent with the policies of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 186 welcomes all Scouts to join our Troop without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship status or disability status. Troop 186 selects its adult leaders using the same standard of inclusiveness.

About the stripes

The pattern you see is from Troop 186 neckerchiefs, which are handmade from Ecuadorian fabric and are a nod to our sister troop Grupo 4 in Quito. We exchange visits every couple of years, it's great!

Upcoming Events

The troop meets most Mondays during the school year at Laurelhurst Elementary school in northeast Seattle. We often meet in other locations depending on the meeting activity.

Contact Us

If you are interesting in joining or just want to see what scouting is all about, please contact the troop at troop186.seattle@gmail.com or the Scoutmaster Brian McMullen at brian98105@hotmail.com

*Parent-chartered means that the parents of the scouts are the troop's sponsoring organization, rather than a school or church or Rotary etc. Our only unifying principle is a desire to give our kids opportunities for service and leadership through an active, fun, and well run Scout Led troop that doesn't take itself too seriously.
