10/30: Law of Sines!
11/9: Go over how to use law of sines to do area. Complete last four problems of Law of Sines sheet. Then derive law of sines and start Law of Cosines sheet.
11/13: Law of sines and Law of cosines together as one!
11/18: Go over situations to use law of sines and law of cosines. Do one problem from the sheet. Give a chance to work on the sheet. Halfway through class do some more from the sheet.
11/20: Go over the types of problems you can solve with law of sines and the ones that you need law of cosines. Then answer questions from the worksheet.
When sheet is done: Create one word problem that needs to be solved by law of sines. Solve it on a different sheet and show your steps. Create a second word problem. This one needs to be solved using law of cosines. Solve it on a different sheet and show your steps.
11/30: First 20 minutes to finish up/tune word problems. Exchange with another student and solve each others. Make necessary changes to problems and hand in. If there is time left, play equate.
12/2: Start going over laws of exponents!!! Review laws of scientific notation. Do problems as explaining.
Scientific notation sheet (Complete first 4, then move on to the next sheet)
Operations using scientific notation (students don't need to do all of this, do odds?)
-finish both sheets for next class
12/4: Go over variables and exponent rules, go over combining like terms
12/7: -talk about relationship between square roots and exponents...then try mispelled worksheet below

12/11: We will use Geogebra and create slider bar equations to help answer the following questions:
Functions Scavenger Hunt:
Graph a parabola with 2 zeros. Write the equation
Graph a parabola with 1 zero. Write the equation.
Graph a parabola with 0 zeros. Write the equation.
A cubic equation with 3 zeros. Write the equation.
A cubic equation with 2 zeros. Write the equation.
A cubic a equation with 1 zero. Write the equation.
A quartic equation with 4 zeros Write the equation here:
A quartic with 2 zeros. Write the equation.
A quartic with no zeros that faces downwards. Write the equation.
-When done, explain parabolas and quadratics
12/14: Solving quadratics...start with solving by factoring: https://docs.google.com/a/tnsk.org/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&srcid=dG5zay5vcmd8bWF0aC1zaXRlfGd4OjNmM2ZiYThmZWE1NWE5YjA
12/16: More Quadratics...complete the square...solve problems. If there is time derive the quadratic formula
12/18: go over Vertex Form. Practice Sheet If there is time, go over formula for finding vertex of an equation in standard form.
If time, start projectile motion.
