Green School Committee 2022

We are currently working towards our 6th Green Flag for Global Citizenship - Litter and Waste.

We had a visit from author Dale Treadwell who has written books such as Harry the Hedgehog: "Will you be my friend?". Dale was born and bred in Australia and moved to Ireland 19 years ago. He introduced the pupils to bugs and larvae while also reading his book about 'Robin the Christmas Robin'

We were awarded our 5th Green Flag on May 9th. Well done to all the pupil, staff and wider community who helped us achieve this.

'Biodiversity is the way so don't let nature go astray!'

Biodiversity is the variety of living things in a given place – small stream, desert, all the forests in the world, the oceans or the entire planet.

15th January 2019

We spent our CASE Peace IV today on lessons based on Biodiversity and Global Citizenship Energy. Our seniors were busy making windmill, gyrocopters, investigating magnets and food chains of animals. Junior were busy making bird houses, feeders and a biodiversity quiz. You can see some photos in the Peace IV section of the website.

We were awarded our third green flag early in 2015 and had our flag raising ceremony in June 2015.
