A Chara,
Here at Parent Hub we are preparing for the launch in the first week back at school in January of the 2019 Make One Change campaign inviting families to make some small change to their routine which could make a big difference to their life as a family. For some families it is a choice to make more time for family meals, sitting together round the table. That can make a big difference to family life, taking time to catch up with each other, hearing what is going on, noticing how people are feeling. Last year families also chose to - Get out and do more as a family; Go for a walk—healthy, free and a great way to unwind; Improve communication—listen more, make time for conversation; Have a games or movie night; Make time for laughter and fun; Eat more healthily, keeping treats for the weekend; Encourage reading and interest in learning.
What is important is that a family thinks about what small change could make a big difference to them—and then commit to making it happen!
We are inviting your school to:
Promote the Make One Change among the families in your school—you might consider launching the cam-paign yourselves with students and families
Provide forms for families to sign up— you will be sent a few leaflets and a poster and there is also a downloadable simple A4 form that can be photocopied
Provide the link on your website so that families can sign up on line using the link https://goo.gl/forms/PrlulqWuPJX9S5W62 The live link will be emailed to you.
If possible gather all the completed forms from families and return them to me by post before Thursday 31st January
Every family that signs up for Make One Change will be entered into a free draw. We have some great prizes including vouchers for bowling, cinema and cycling in Glenveagh. We also have amazing overnight family glamping experiences in the Wild Atlantic Camp in Creeslough and in Portsalon Luxury Camping as well as passes to Ards Forest Park. Businesses around the County have been generous in their support of the campaign.
Families can sign up on line or by filling in the leaflet and returning it to me. We really want to maximise the number of families taking on this very positive challenge for 2019. If you have any questions please contact me. I know that this is a very busy time of year for you but I hope that by sending you this now we can hit the road running in 2019, launching the campaign in that first week back to school.
Wishing you a happy Christmas and a wonderful 2019
