Welcome to STMLC BYODD 3-6
This site serves as a resource hub supporting parents, teachers, and students involved in our Bring Your Own Designated Device (BYODD) approach at St Michael's.
Adjustments to Our BYODD Approach
Starting in 2026, Kindergarten to Year 2 students will have access to school-issued iPads for small group work, ensuring a balanced introduction to technology. Students from Years 3 to 6 will use their personal iPads during learning time.
To align with new syllabus requirements and foster digital literacy, students in Year 3 and above must have access to a compatible keyboard for their iPad. Parents can choose to purchase a keyboard for their child, or the school will provide one.
General Routines
Students in Years 3-6 take their iPads home daily and are expected to charge their devices at home before bringing them back to school each day.
