Parent Information

Parent participation is an integral component to the success of the team.  Meets are run solely by volunteers and approximately 70 volunteers are needed for each meet.  Volunteers from both participating teams (or all teams at Meet of Champs) are required to run a successful meet.  

After registration, each family will be asked to commit to a minimum of 4 volunteer shifts to ensure our meets run smoothly.  Some positions are only available at home meets while others are needed at both home and away meets.  Please see the link below (or the Meet Volunteer Information page) for a description of volunteer position descriptions. 

Through our new online volunteer sign-up, you will be able to choose the meet (date) and position of your shifts.  

Once volunteer sign-up is complete, you will be responsible for finding someone to cover your shift if you are unable to attend, with the exception of emergencies.  Fines will be assessed to any family that does not show up for their assigned shifts without notification and or emergency approval.  A member of the Board of Directors should be notified if you are unable to meet your commitment and/or are unable to find a replacement.  You should also cancel your shift in the sign up system.  NOTE: Cancellation of shift in the system does not constitute notification.  

New Parents:  If your only swimmer(s) is in the 6 & under age group, know that your swimmer will only participate in the first half of each meet.  We will provide a limited time for families with only 6 & under swimmers to secure first half positions.  This does not apply to families with multiple swimmers unless ALL swimmers are in the 6 & under age group.
