The Board of Directors is comprised entirely of parent volunteers. It's responsibility is to oversee policy for the team in compliance with league rules and regulations and serves as liaison for the team to the league. It ensures that all team needs are met each season, oversees fundraising, manages team funds and works closely with the coaching staff to coordinate meets along with any needs for training.
All parent/guardian inquiries, suggestions and/or grievances should be submitted to a board member. The item will be presented to the entire board for consideration/resolution. As appropriate, the board will escalate the item to the league.
Each board member commits to a 3 year term. At the end of each term, sitting officers can move up to the next position based on elections unless they choose to resign entirely. This ensures consistency and knowledge as newer officers learn the details of board participation. New officers are recruited during the 3rd year of board service. Their first year of service overlaps with the 3rd year of service of the existing board in order to learn their position prior to taking over.
The board will hold an informational meeting for all parents interested in serving on the board at the conclusion of the season of their second year of service. Invitations to serve will be extended by the board within a few weeks of the meeting.
