The TNA focusses on your acquisition of skills in four main areas defined by the Vitae Researcher Development Framework. These are:
A: Knowledge and intellectual abilities
B: Personal effectiveness
C: Research governance and organisation
D: Engagement, influence and impact
You should complete a TNA annually, in consultation with your supervisors, and use it to assess your competence in each of the areas, so that you can identify your training and development needs.
Students starting from September 2020 should use the TNA form available here.
