All doctoral researchers must complete the FCE6100 Research Ethics and Integrity course run by the Faculty of Engineering.
This course helps you to understand how to conduct your research ethically, and with integrity. You should be automatically registered on the module, and have access to the Blackboard (MOLE) page under 'Courses'.
In order to pass the course, you must complete all of the pre-sessional activities on Blackboard. These are:
Ethics at Sheffield (9 videos with a quiz for each)
Epigeum Ethics Training (online course, and test - you must get 80% to pass)
Verify completion of pre-sessional activities (check to make sure you have completed all the requirements)
Case Studies (2 case studies with quizzes)
You will be able to sign up for one of the face-to-face sessions in the Blackboard site too. If you are a distance learning student, please contact the PGR Support Officer to get registered on the DL-specific version of this module.
After attending the in-person session, there is a post-session test you must complete, then you will be marked as having passed the module.
