What is SlideRocket?
SlideRocket is an online program similar to PowerPoint. You can access SlideRocket from any computer that is connected to the internet. You can create slides that include text, pictures, audio, and video.
What you need:
computer with access to internet
microphone for recording voice if needed (may be built into the computer)
Before you begin:
Look at the following examples of a SlideRocket presentation. They will give you good design tips as you prepare your presentation.
Design your slides with few to zero words. Use visuals to tell your story. Collect or create the pictures you need.
Write your script for the narration of the slides.
As you design your presentation, think about what message you want to send to your audience. Are you clearly communicating your message?
What to do:
Look at the instructions below to log in to Google Apps and SlideRocket. (IMPORTANT: Do NOT create a separate SlideRocket account. Log in to Google Apps first and follow the instructions below.)
Create your slides.
If needed, record audio using the steps below or these instructions. Speak clearly and loudly.
If needed, upload your video files following these instructions or link to a YouTube video with these instructions.

Access SlideRocket by logging in to Google Apps and then click More and choose SlideRocket from the drop down menu.
To add a new slide, click the New button in the lower left.
To change the layout of a slide, click the layout drop down menu for other choices.
Try this alternate method using Garageband.
In your SlideRocket presentation, click Publish.
Click "This presentation is public." Then click "Apply Changes". The name of your presentation must be unique in order to do this. If you get an error, go back to your presentation and click File / Save As to change the name. Then follow the steps again.
If you want to embed your SlideRocket into a Google Site or blog, click "Get embed code" and continue following the steps below.
Otherwise, click "Get public link" and use that link to send your project to your teacher. If you do this, you do NOT need to continue following the steps below.
Choose the size you'd like your presentation to appear in your ePortfolio. Then click "Copy code" to copy the code to your clipboard.
Go to your Google Site or blog.
Click the HTML button on the right of the toolbar.
Paste the code from before into the box and click Update.
Save your page and your presentation will now appear. You may also be required to add more information to this page. Just click Edit again and type in the required information.
